Racing the Waves

The inspiration for this piece came from a day on the beach watching the waves roll in. This wave rolled in with a shadow at the curl that looked like a horse running in the wave. I came right home and started drawing and added a wild horse in front as if she were Racing the Wave. I love the lines it created and the feeling of freedom the scene evokes. The original is 16” x 12” on Bristol Board and is currently framed in an elegant, weathered gray frame.
